Victorian Novelty Silver Troubadour Round Sprung Sewing Tape Measure, B'ham 1900
This is a late Victorian silver cased extending tape measure, with spring return mechanism. Hallmarked for Birmingham 1900 with a mark of HM, it is decorated to each side with the image of a man serenading two women under a tree. It measures 3.4cm in diameter, and the silver appears good. The tape has lost the first eight inches or so, and the spring mechanism is constantly trying to reclaim it so it is pinned.
